About

I am a journalist and editor with a day job covering business and finance, alongside freelance work mostly dabbling in dance music.

I recently moved back to Edinburgh to work as the editor of Scottish Business Insider, following a decade or so in London.

After graduating from Glasgow Caledonian University's journalism degree, I moved there in 2008 looking for a job. The first one I found was as a reporter covering pensions and asset management for Euromoney Institutional Investor, and after a few years there I moved to the Financial Times to write about the adviser market.

I then tried my hand at copywriting for Crystal Ski Holidays - another of my personal passions - before moving back into The City to edit websites FStech, Retail Systems and National Technology News.

All the while, I've been pitching and writing for the likes of Mixmag, Resident Advisor, The Independent, Crack, Four Four Two and The Skinny.

This website brings together a portfolio of this work and my sporadically-updated blog.

Do get in contact if you like what you see.
